Ocado Technology is leaps and bounds above everyone else in the sphere of supply chain management. They are the Google of online food retail. And to maintain their reputation, they are competing with the world’s top technology brands to recruit the right people.
Our partner agency ThirtyThirty came to us to develop a recruitment video to firstly explain what Ocado Technology does as an organisation, then secondly to encourage applications from the most talented technological innovators and programmers in the UK.
The processes at Ocado Technology are extremely complex. For instance, at any one time, there are 35,000 different versions of the retail website being accessed. Our film had to simplify these complexities and make them digestible and visually engaging. We opted for an animated infographic to help bring these intricacies to life.
Our film shows that Ocado Technology builds its ground-breaking systems from the ground up, concluding that people are the most important component. The video opens in a futuristic city with drones circling the towering buildings, and then reveals that this space is actually on a designer’s desk – the human behind the tech.
As we mix both live action footage and motion graphics in this film, our team had to work hard on 3D tracking and compositing. You can see the results by watching the Ocado Technology film now:
