Old Documentary for the BBC surfaces on You Tube

01st February 2012

Before setting up Hurricane as a video production company I worked at the BBC as a producer and director. Yesterday I was looking around on You Tube for some observational documentaries that I made during my time there, and I stumbled across this episode of SKINT.  This was a fascinating series to make as it filmed the lives of people on the breadline in Bristol and Birmingham.

I spent months filming with people, sharing their highs and lows as they struggled to get by.  Some of the characters in the film gained a celebrity in their own right, and if I remember there was even talk of Vernon having his own series at one point.

Anyway, here are the three parts of the program, it’s a tough watch as it doesn’t shy away from some hard hitting issues but it gives a real insight a whole section of British society.
