This innovative fundraising film was made by Jim Le Fevre, Mike Paterson and Roops and Al Johnstone of RAMP ceramics and was commissioned by the Crafts Council.
The principles of the zoetrope are set in motion, but instead of using the slits of the drum of the zoetrope it uses camera shutter speed. Jim used 19 ‘frames’ on the pot which provided a balance of space per frame and amount of animation. The floor lever was pressed gently until it was perfect in-frame for the camera. An inspired piece of video content to encourage donations.
