3D Animation: The Secret Monster Under Clifton Suspension Bridge

01st November 2012

We spent a slightly wet and windy Halloween at a special event organised jointly by Taxi Studio, one of the UK’s leading design agencies, and Play Nicely, a multidisciplinary design studio at the Avon Gorge Hotel.  At the secret event guests were ushered outside to see a graffiti artists painting the underside of Clifton Suspension Bridges abutments, the artists had clearly disturbed the troll that lives beneath, and a 200ft 3D animated troll, dressed as Isambard Kingdom Brunel, broke free from the stonework to make his break for freedom leaping into the gorge below.

We were along to film the event and produce a short film to capture the 3D projections and the reaction of the waiting crowds. We worked overnight on a fast turnaround edit of the project. The short film we produced for them can be viewed below:

Thanks to Taxi Studio and Play Nicely for a great night.
